Description
The recipe was shared with us by Chef John Smith from the restaurant "The Cozy Table."
Ingredients
- Pastila - 2 pieces
- Roasted Peanuts - 3.5 oz
- Honey - 3.5 oz
- Prunes - 1.8 oz
- Raisins - 1.8 oz
- Butter - 2.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pass the raisins, prunes, and dried apricots through a meat grinder or blend them with a blender.
Step 2
Add a little water to achieve a thick porridge-like consistency. Let it sit for 10 minutes, during which time the dried fruits will absorb the water and soften.
Step 3
Chop the nuts finely, but not into a paste; they should retain some distinct pieces. Add them to the dried fruits along with the honey and mix well.
Step 4
Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance to let it soften. Mix it thoroughly with the dried fruit and nut mixture.
Step 5
Spread the fruit and nut filling over the sheet of pastila, leaving a couple of centimeters around the edges.
Step 6
Carefully roll the pastille into a log, making sure not to squeeze out the filling.
Step 7
Place the finished tatlı roll in the refrigerator for an hour to allow the butter to set, making it easier to slice into thin pieces.
Step 8
Slice the roll into thin pieces crosswise and serve with tea.
