Airy Potato Soufflé with Cheese
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes - 28.2 oz
- Butter - 2.5 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 4 pieces
- Gruyère cheese - 2.8 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and boil them in boiling water until cooked. Drain the water, add salt and pepper to taste. Mash the potatoes.
Step 2
Grate the cheese and add it to the mashed potatoes.
Step 3
Separate the yolks from the whites. Add the yolks to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
Step 4
Beat the egg whites with a mixer until thick and white foam forms. The better the egg whites are beaten, the airier the soufflé will be.
Step 5
Very carefully, in three stages, fold the egg whites into the potato mixture. Stir in a way that does not deflate the egg whites, lifting the mixture from the bottom up with a spoon.
Step 6
Place a piece of butter in each soufflé dish and put them in the preheated oven. Keep them in until the butter melts.
Step 7
Spoon the potato mixture into the dishes and place them in the already preheated oven at 356°F for about 40 minutes (cook until golden brown).
Step 8
Serve hot.
