Description
Asian-Style Steamed Snapper
Ingredients
- Snapper - 28.2 oz
- Cilantro - 6 tablespoons
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 piece
- Lemongrass - 3 stalks
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Fish Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Take a cleaned whole fish and make diagonal cuts on both sides. Cut the lemongrass stalks into three pieces and lightly crush them with the back of a knife handle. Place half of the lemongrass in the center of a large piece of foil, and lay the fish on top. Put the remaining lemongrass and half of the cilantro inside the fish.
Step 2
Mix the chopped ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, vegetable oil, fish sauce, and finely chopped chili. Pour the mixture over the fish and sprinkle with the remaining cilantro on top.
Step 3
Wrap the fish in foil and place it in a metal sieve. Set the sieve over a large pot of boiling water. Cook for 25 minutes. Transfer the fish in the foil to a large serving plate and open it at the table. Serve with sautéed vegetables.
