Ingredients
- Canned White Asparagus - 17.6 oz
- Marinated cherries - 10 pieces
- Dijon Mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Vinegar essence - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 2 teaspoons
- Butter - 1.4 oz
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - a pinch
- Mixed Spicy Herbs - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard Greens - 2 teaspoons
- Green Tagliatelle Pasta - 8.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the asparagus and trim the woody ends. Place them in a pot.
Step 2
Pour 200 ml of water into the pot, add sugar and salt, and bring to a boil. Let it sit for 30 minutes with the heat off.
Step 3
Mix 50 ml of the broth with honey, vinegar, mustard, mustard seeds, and herbs, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
Reduce the remaining broth with the added oil by half.
Step 5
Cut the asparagus into 5 cm pieces. Halve the tomatoes.
Step 6
Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the asparagus for 5 minutes. Add the honey-mustard sauce and cook for another 8 minutes. About a minute before finishing, add the tomatoes.
Step 7
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water, then drain and toss with the oil sauce.
Step 8
Serve the pasta with the asparagus.
