Description
There are many variations of dry rubs and sauces. A great preparation for a picnic, you can bake them at home and glaze them on the grill.
Ingredients
- Pork Skewers - 2 lbs
- Paprika - 3.5 oz
- Granulated sugar - 1.8 oz
- Brown Sugar - 1.8 oz
- Salt - 2.5 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - 2 tablespoons
- English Dry Mustard - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cumin - 1 tablespoon
- Ketchup - 5.3 oz
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 0.7 oz
- Sugar - 0.4 oz
- Ground Dried Garlic - 1 teaspoon
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 teaspoon
- Ocean salt - 1 teaspoon
- Celery salt - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 248°F.
Step 10
For the BBQ sauce, mix ketchup, apple cider vinegar, salt, sugar, and spices, adding water if necessary. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 5 minutes.

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Step 3
Place the ribs on foil, meat side down. Poke several holes with a knife.
Step 4
Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs. Wrap the ribs in foil on all sides and place them on a baking sheet, meat side down.
Step 5
Bake in the oven for about 2 hours. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes.
Step 6
Increase the oven temperature to 347°F.
Step 7
Open the foil and remove the liquid and fat that has formed. Brush the ribs on all sides with BBQ sauce.
Step 8
Place the ribs in the oven, meat side up, and after 10 minutes, remove from the oven and brush with sauce. Bake for 50 minutes, brushing with sauce at least 4 times.
Step 9
Cut into individual segments and serve with the same sauce.
