Description
Recipe from the book "The Witcher: An Unofficial Cookbook" by Emily Smith. In the lake near the Witchers' stronghold, there is plenty of fish. Some particularly lazy witchers even have their own way of catching it: they toss in a couple of bombs and then paddle around in a small boat, scooping up the floating fish with a net. You can prepare different types of fish with this recipe (you never know which one will bite today). But carp is the tastiest of them all. This is a historical recipe from the 17th century.
Ingredients
- Carp - 1 piece
- Oranges - 1 piece
- Raisins - 3 spoons
- Ground Nutmeg - 2 spoons
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 10
Wrap the fish in two layers of foil and place it in the oven or over the fire. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
Step 2
Rinse the carp and gut it.
Step 3
Rinse again and pat dry with a paper towel.
Step 4
Lay out a sheet of foil and place the fish on it.
Step 5
Cut the butter into slices.
Step 6
Slice the orange into rounds.
Step 7
Rub the carp all over with spices. It is recommended to coat the fish in nutmeg.
Step 8
Coat the carp with butter and orange both inside and out.
Step 9
Also, add a handful of raisins inside.
