Baked carp or catfish with potatoes and onions
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes - 2 lbs
- Onion - 5.3 oz
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 10.6 oz
- Carp - 3 lbs
- Herbs - to taste
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the potatoes into strips and salt them.
Step 2
Slice the onion into half rings.
Step 3
For the fish, make a marinade from the juice of half a lemon, spices to taste, and mayonnaise, and add salt.
Step 4
Marinate the fish and let it sit for an hour.
Step 5
In a greased baking dish, layer the onions, potatoes, and place the marinated carp on top (the whole fish, make shallow cross cuts). Insert thin slices of lemon into these cuts.
Step 6
Generously coat everything with mayonnaise and sprinkle with dill and parsley. You can decorate with slices of tomato, bell pepper, or whatever your imagination allows.
Step 7
Bake in the oven at a temperature of 200–428°F for 30–40 minutes.
