Ingredients
- Carp - 1½ kg
- Onion - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
- Pickled Chanterelles - 7.1 oz
- Lemon - ½ piece
- Herbs - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Spices - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the filling. Slice the onion into thin half-rings and cut the mushrooms into small pieces. Sauté the onion and mushrooms separately in vegetable oil until soft. Optionally, add chopped herbs, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
Step 2
Clean the carp by gutting it and removing the gills. Rub salt and pepper inside and outside the fish. Stuff the fish with the filling, securing the edges with toothpicks if necessary. Make diagonal cuts and place lemon wedges into these 'pockets'. Drizzle lightly with lemon juice.
Step 3
Bake for 20–25 minutes (depending on the weight of the fish) in a preheated oven at 392°F. Let the cooked fish rest for 8–10 minutes before carefully transferring it to a serving dish.
