Ingredients
- Soy Sauce - ½ cup
- Milk - ¼ cup
- Panko breadcrumbs - 1.8 oz
- Ground meat - 17.6 oz
- Garlic - 1.4 oz
- Ginger - 2 teaspoons
- Scallions - 0.9 oz
- Canned Pineapple Chunks - 2 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Water - ¼ cup
- Peach Juice - ¼ cup
- Brown Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Corn Starch - ½ teaspoon
- Toasted Sesame - 1 tablespoon
- Yakiniku sauce - 10 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the meatballs: grease a baking sheet or baking dish with oil.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix the milk and panko breadcrumbs and let sit for 5 minutes.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, soy sauce, chopped pineapple, pepper, and soaked breadcrumbs.
Step 4
Thoroughly mix the ingredients by hand, then form the mixture into balls. Place 2-3 tablespoons of the meat mixture into each meatball.
Step 5
Arrange the meatballs in the prepared dish or on the baking sheet and bake for 12-17 minutes, until fully cooked.
Step 6
While the meatballs are in the oven, prepare the sauce.
Step 7
Sauce: in a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water. Pour this mixture into the teriyaki sauce and simmer until it thickens to a syrup-like consistency, about 5 minutes.
Step 8
Remove the meatballs from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the sauce over them and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
