Baked Chicken Thighs in Kefir Sauce with Carrots

Ingredients

  • Chicken Thighs - 6 pieces
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Kefir - 8 fl oz
  • Mustard Greens - 1 teaspoon
  • Parsley - 1 bunch
  • Turnips - 4 pieces
  • Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Spices - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Finely chop the dill and garlic into the kefir, add the mustard and mix.

Step 2

Rub the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Pour the kefir-mustard sauce over them and let marinate for about 30 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile, slice the carrots into rounds and the pepper into rings or half-rings.

Step 4

Place the marinated chicken thighs and prepared vegetables in a baking dish, pour over the marinade sauce, cover with a lid, and bake in a preheated oven at 180–392°F for 60 minutes. Ten minutes before it's done, remove the lid and brown the thighs.
