Description

The chicken meat turns out very aromatic. Mashed potatoes make an excellent side dish.

Ingredients

  • Poultry - 1 piece
  • Cranberry - 10.6 oz
  • Dill - ½ bunch
  • Bay leaf - 5 pieces
  • Sour Cream - 4 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 392°F.

Step 2

Wash the chicken and place it in a baking tray or dish.

Step 3

Stuff the chicken tightly with cranberries mixed with dill and bay leaves. To prevent the filling from spilling out, tie the legs with kitchen twine or secure them with toothpicks.

Step 4

Spread sour cream on top of the chicken and place it in the oven.

Step 5

Bake the chicken for one and a half to two hours (depending on size). To achieve a crispier skin, periodically baste the chicken with the juices that accumulate. Check the chicken's readiness with a knife. Pierce the meat under the wing and on the thigh. If no blood flows, the chicken is ready.
