Description
Instead of 1 chicken weighing about 2 kg, you can use wings and drumsticks, and instead of 4 small onions, use 2 medium ones.
Ingredients
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Poultry - 1 piece
- Onion - 4 pieces
- Dry White Wine - 10 fl oz
- Dried Chamomile - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 1 head
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken into serving pieces and place them in a baking dish.
Step 2
Cut each onion into 4–6 pieces. Slice the lemons thinly. Separate the garlic into cloves, leaving the skin on.
Step 3
Crush each clove with the flat side of a knife. Add the onion, garlic, and lemon slices to the chicken. Season with salt and sprinkle with thyme. Mix well.
Step 4
Pour the wine into the dish and place it in a preheated oven at 392°F.
Step 5
Bake, occasionally basting the chicken with the liquid from the dish, until cooked through, about 40 minutes. Optionally, sprinkle with herbs before serving. Pairs perfectly with rice.
