Description
A Swedish dish often found in the form of a casserole. What's unusual about it is that the chicken harmoniously interacts here with bacon, banana, and peanuts.
Ingredients
- "Petelinka Thigh Fillet" - 21.2 oz
- Butter - 0.7 oz
- Bacon - 4.9 oz
- Bananas - 1 piece
- Cream - 10 fl oz
- Sweet Chili Sauce - 3 fl oz
- Unsalted peanuts, shelled - 3.5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Season the chicken fillets with salt and pepper, and sauté them whole in a skillet with a small amount of butter until they are golden brown. It's best to fry the chicken in small batches to avoid overcrowding the pan, as this may cause the chicken to steam rather than sear. Slice the cooked fillets into pieces.
Step 2
Finely chop the bacon and fry it in a skillet, then transfer it to paper towels to drain the excess fat.
Step 3
Place the chicken at the bottom of a heatproof dish, then add the bacon and sliced bananas. In a bowl, mix the cream and chili sauce, season with salt to taste, and pour the mixture over the chicken.
Step 4
Bake in an oven preheated to 428°F for 15–20 minutes. Ten minutes before it's done, sprinkle with peanuts and finish baking. Serve with rice.
