Ingredients
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Olive Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Ground meat - 17.6 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 1 cup
- Fresh basil leaves - 6 pieces
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1.1 oz
- Penne rigate - 17.6 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 5 pieces
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 4.2 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Puff Pastry - 8.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop the onion coarsely and mince the garlic. In a skillet over medium heat, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic.
Step 2
Then add the ground meat and cook for about 15 minutes. Add the tomato paste, 1 cup of water, coarsely chopped basil leaves, parsley, cumin, and bay leaves. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes, adding water if necessary. Remove the bay leaves.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Boil 2 eggs and chop them coarsely. In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta with the meat mixture, add the chopped eggs, 3 lightly beaten raw eggs, cheese, salt, and pepper.
Step 4
Line a baking sheet with puff pastry, spread the meat and pasta mixture on top, and cover with another layer of pastry. Pinch the edges of the pastry and make holes with a fork. Bake for about 30 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
