Baked Pumpkin with Spices
Ingredients
- Pumpkin - 28.2 oz
- Ginger - 1.1 oz
- Tarragon - 4 sprigs
- Mint - 4 sprigs
- Cardamom - 1 teaspoon
- Gingerbread-flavored syrup - 1 fl oz
- Butter - 1.1 oz
- Flaky sea salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 2
Peel the pumpkin and remove the seeds, then cut it into large pieces.
Step 3
Slice the ginger.
Step 4
Place the pumpkin and ginger on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 5
Top the pumpkin with sprigs of tarragon and mint.
Step 6
Sprinkle with cardamom and drizzle with sugar syrup.
Step 7
Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 45–60 minutes.
Step 8
When the pumpkin is almost done, remove the foil, brush the pumpkin with butter, and bake until caramelized.
Step 9
Serve the pumpkin sprinkled with coarse salt.
