Baked Stuffed Shells
Ingredients
- Pasta - 12 oz
- Mozzarella Cheese - 8.8 oz
- Parmesan Cheese - 4.2 oz
- Ricotta cheese - 31.7 oz
- Large Chicken Eggs - 4 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Dried Garlic - 1 teaspoon
- Spaghetti sauce - 8.1 oz
- Basil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a pot, bring water to a boil and cook the pasta for 8 minutes or until al dente.
Step 2
Drain the water and immediately cool the pasta by rinsing it in cold water. Drain again and place on paper towels with the open side down.
Step 3
In a medium bowl, mix all the ingredients except for the spaghetti sauce.
Step 4
Set aside ¼ cup of mozzarella. Spread a thin layer of spaghetti sauce on a baking dish. Preheat the oven to 200°C (about 400°F). Fill each pasta shell with the cheese mixture and place them open side up in a single layer in the baking dish.
Step 5
Pour the remaining sauce over the stuffed pasta. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Five minutes before the baking time is up, remove the foil and sprinkle with mozzarella. Bake for another 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped basil.
