Ingredients
- Fillet of Sturgeon - 2 lbs
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ginger - 0.5 oz
- Soy Sauce - 3 fl oz
- Sesame Oil - 0 fl oz
- Brown Sugar - 3 spoons
- Sichuan pepper - ¼ spoons
- Chili Flakes - to taste
- Basmati rice - 11.6 oz
- Toasted Sesame - 1 tablespoon
- Lime - 1 piece
- Scallions - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Peel and coarsely chop the ginger.
Step 3
Blend the chopped ginger, peeled garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, Sichuan peppercorns, chili flakes, salt, and freshly ground black pepper in a blender.
Step 4
Place the trout fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 5
Coat the trout fillet with the marinade on all sides and let it marinate for an hour.
Step 6
Bake the trout in a preheated oven at 212°F for 30 minutes. Halfway through the process, brush the trout with sauce from the baking tray.
Step 7
Rinse the rice under running water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package.
Step 8
Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet until golden brown.
Step 9
Place the cooked trout on a bed of rice.
Step 10
Serve immediately, garnished with green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and lime.
