Ingredients
- Pearl barley - 1 cup
- Water - 21 fl oz
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 head
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the barley groats in water for 1 hour. Rinse and place in the multicooker on the 'Grains' setting for 60 minutes.
Step 2
Sauté the onion and carrot in a pan until golden brown. Add to the multicooker.
Step 3
15 minutes before cooking is complete, add salt and spices to taste.
Step 4
Leave on the 'Keep Warm' setting for 20 minutes.
