  • Pearl barley - 2 cups
  • Butter - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon

Sort the groats, rinse them, add to boiling water, and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Then drain the groats in a colander and let the water drain off.

Step 3

In a pot, pour in 3 cups of hot water, add 1 tablespoon of butter and salt, and bring to a boil.

Step 4

Add the groats to the boiling water and cook on low heat until thickened.

Step 5

After that, place the pot with the porridge in a preheated oven for 15 minutes to steam.

Step 6

Season the finished porridge with the remaining butter.
