Ingredients
- Pearl barley - 8.8 oz
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Fatty Beef - 21.2 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves - to taste
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Coriander essential oil - to taste
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the barley, cover it with cold water, and let it soak for 3–4 hours.
Step 2
Cut the meat into small cubes (1 cm sides).
Step 3
Sauté the onion until golden, then add garlic, meat, and fry on high heat for 5–10 minutes, stirring to form a crust on the meat.
Step 4
Then distribute the meat with onions into the pots, add spices and salt.
Step 5
Drain the water from the barley and evenly distribute it among the pots.
Step 6
Pour boiling water into the pots so that it covers the contents by 1 cm.
Step 7
Place the pots in a preheated oven at 392°F for 30 minutes, then reduce the heat to 170 and bake for another hour.
Step 8
After that, leave the pots in the turned-off oven for another 30 minutes.
Step 9
Add butter to the finished porridge and sprinkle with your favorite herbs.
