- Prunes - 5.3 oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz

Sort the barley groats, rinse them, cover with cold water, and let them soak for 5 hours. Then drain the water, rinse the groats again, and dry them.
Step 2
Toast the prepared groats in a dry skillet, add 3 cups of hot salted water, bring to a boil, and cook on low heat covered until done.
Step 3
Rinse the prunes, cover with hot water, and let them soak for 15 minutes, then cut into strips.
Step 4
Season the cooked porridge with sugar and salt, serve in plates, drizzle with melted butter, and sprinkle with prunes.
