Description
Battered Octopuses
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 7.9 oz
- Milk - 4 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Safflower Oil - 17 fl oz
- Octopus - 17.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the frozen octopuses in a bowl and cover them with boiling water. Clean off the membrane and rinse.
Step 2
For the batter, beat the egg, add 250 grams of flour, salt, and mix. While continuing to stir, gradually pour in the milk.
Step 3
Heat the sunflower oil in a skillet — the oil level should be about two centimeters above the bottom of the skillet. You can also add olive oil or butter to taste.
Step 4
Coat the octopuses one by one in the remaining flour and dip them in the batter, then lower them into the boiling oil. Fry for about 5 minutes on each side. Once fried, place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
