Beef Heart with Mushrooms in a Wok
Ingredients
- Water - 1 qt
- Ocean salt - 2.5 oz
- Beef hoof - 5.6 oz
- Onion - 3.5 oz
- Shimeji mushrooms - 2.1 oz
- Enoki mushrooms - 2.1 oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
- Campbell's Beef Broth - 2 fl oz
- Cilantro - to taste
- Toasted Sesame - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Sesame Oil - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Dissolve the sea salt in room temperature water and soak the heart for 2 hours.
Step 3
After 2 hours, slice the heart into small pieces.
Step 4
Chop the onion into medium-sized cubes.
Step 5
Chop the shiitake mushrooms into medium pieces.
Step 6
Separate the enoki mushrooms into small clusters.
Step 7
Heat the vegetable and sesame oil in a wok and sauté the heart for 1–2 minutes.
Step 8
Add the onion and mushrooms, and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
Step 9
Pour in the soy sauce and broth, and stir-fry on high heat for another 1–2 minutes.
Step 10
Transfer the contents of the wok to a sieve to remove excess moisture.
Step 11
Serve the beef heart garnished with cilantro leaves and sesame seeds.
