Ingredients
- Beef - 23.8 oz
- Fat - 1.8 oz
- Onion - 7.9 oz
- Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 0.4 oz
- Marjoram - 1 tablespoon
- Campbell's Beef Broth - 22 fl oz
- Ginger Green Wine - 20 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into 4 cm cubes. Melt the fat in a heavy-bottomed skillet. Sear the meat (a few cubes at a time) until browned.
Step 2
Remove the meat and sauté the onion in the fat until soft. Add the flour and cook for another 2 minutes, then add the sugar, spices, herbs, broth, and ale, bringing it to a boil.
Step 3
Return the meat to the pot, cover tightly with a lid, and braise in the oven at 356°F for about 2 hours until the meat is tender. Season to taste.
