Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the meat along the grain into several pieces, place it in a pot, add chopped carrots and an onion, salt, a bay leaf, cover with water, and bring to a boil over high heat. Then reduce the heat and simmer until the meat is tender. Allow it to rest in the broth for half an hour.
Step 2
Remove the meat, let it cool slightly, and shred it into strands, reserving the broth. Chop the onion and bell pepper, then sauté them together for 10 minutes until the vegetables become soft. Add the minced garlic, chili, salt, and cinnamon, and quickly sauté everything.
Step 3
Add the tomatoes along with their juice and mash them with a spoon. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes. Pour in 450 ml of the broth in which the meat was cooked, and add the beef. Cook, stirring, for 10 minutes. Serve garnished with herbs.
