Ingredients
- Beef - 17.6 oz
- Salad Potatoes - 2 lbs
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Cream - ½ cup
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Dried Barberry - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil leaves - ½ tablespoon
- Khmeli-suneli - 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper - ⅓ teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and cut them into strips. Fry in a large amount of vegetable oil, adding 1 tablespoon of khmeli-suneli seasoning and salt to taste.
Step 2
In another deep skillet or cauldron, fry the meat until 2/3 cooked, adding the carrot at the end. Add the potatoes to the cauldron, mix, and cover everything with water so that it covers the mixture. Add salt, black pepper, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 3
After 20 minutes, drain the excess water, leaving it at a level of 4–6 cm. Add khmeli-suneli (1 tablespoon), barberry, basil, and ground ginger. Fry over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 4
When ready, add the cream, crushed garlic, and mix well. Serve immediately.
