Beef Tongue Slices with Buckwheat
Ingredients
- Buckwheat Groats - 2 cups
- Beef tongue - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Spices - to taste
- Water - 4 cups
- Parsley - 1 sprig
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the buckwheat and let it drain in a colander.
Step 2
Wash and dry the meat.
Step 3
Cut the tongue into pieces 1.5–2 cm thick.
Step 4
Remove the skin from the meat.
Step 5
Sprinkle the meat with salt and spices.
Step 6
Place the buckwheat at the bottom of a baking dish.
Step 7
Salt the buckwheat and pour water over it.
Step 8
Layer the meat on top of the buckwheat.
Step 9
Place in a preheated oven at 392°F for 1.5 hours.
Step 10
Remove from the oven and let cool. Garnish with parsley before serving.
