Beef with Mushrooms in Creamy Sauce
Ingredients
- Beef - 31.7 oz
- Pickled Chanterelles - 8.8 oz
- Campbell's Beef Broth - 24 fl oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Wheat Flour - 0.5 oz
- Cream 22% - 8 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
- Butter - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the beef into small cubes, mix with salt and pepper. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 2
In a medium heat, quickly fry the mushrooms in vegetable oil, then transfer to a plate.
Step 3
Also fry the beef in portions in vegetable oil until lightly golden. Transfer to a plate.
Step 4
Add a piece of butter to the skillet and sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic. When they become soft and golden, add the flour. Stir vigorously until the flour browns and a nutty aroma appears.
Step 5
Add the broth, whisk vigorously until smooth and slightly thickened.
Step 6
Add the beef to the sauce, along with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and continue to cook for about 1 hour, until the meat is tender but still firm.
Step 7
Stir and add a glass of broth if the sauce becomes too thick.
Step 8
When the meat is tender, add the cream, and after a minute, add the mushrooms. Cook everything on low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, until the mushrooms are heated through and soft. Do not bring the sauce to a boil to prevent separation.
