Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil the rice in a large amount of salted boiling water. Meanwhile, wash the meat, dry it, cut it across the grain into thin strips, and sprinkle with flour. Mix 1 tablespoon of soy sauce with 1 teaspoon of water or sherry, pour over the meat, and refrigerate.
Step 2
Wash the sweet pepper pods, cut each in half, remove the seeds, and slice them. Wash the chili pepper, peel it, cut it in half, remove the seeds, slice it, and mix with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, the remaining sherry or water, and cornstarch. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Heat a large skillet with oil and fry the meat on all sides. Remove the meat and keep it warm. Add the sweet peppers to the skillet where the meat was cooked, and sauté lightly while stirring. Add the chili mixture with soy sauce, bring everything to a boil, then add the meat and simmer for 3 minutes. Serve with boiled rice.
