Beet and Tahini Sauce
Ingredients
- Beetroot - 15.9 oz
- Tahini - ½ cup
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ice - 3 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Toasted Pine Nuts - 1 tablespoon
- Pita bread - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Bring water to a boil in a medium-sized pot.
Step 2
Add the beetroot and boil until tender for 1 hour.
Step 3
Drain in a colander, peel, and transfer to a blender; add tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and ice.
Step 4
Season with salt and pepper, and blend until smooth.
Step 5
Transfer to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with pine nuts.
