Black Angus Steak in a Skillet
Ingredients
- Veal Tenderloin - 17.6 oz
- Olive Oil - 1½ tablespoons
- Butter - 0.4 oz
- Sumac - 1½ teaspoons
- Marjoram - ½ teaspoon
- Herbes de Provence - ½ teaspoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 teaspoon
- Chili jam - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the steak on foil and brush with olive oil.
Step 2
Season with sumac on both sides.
Step 3
Wrap in foil and let marinate for half an hour.
Step 4
In a deep bowl, combine the dried herbs and melted butter.
Step 5
Add lemon juice and mix well.
Step 6
Place the meat on a dry, hot grill pan.
Step 7
Once the bottom side is browned, flip it over.
Step 8
After 3–4 minutes, reduce the heat and flip again. Brush with the prepared sauce.
Step 9
Cover with a lid and cook to the desired doneness.
Step 10
Once the steak reaches the desired doneness, transfer it to a plate.
Step 11
Drizzle with chili sauce and serve.
