Boiled salmon with Swedish vegetables
Ingredients
- Snap Peas - 20 pieces
- Salmon - 4 pieces
- New Potatoes - 6 pieces
- Creamy Horseradish - 2 teaspoons
- Dill - 2 bunches
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Lemon - 2 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the fish into medium-sized pieces. Cover the fish with water so that it is barely submerged, cover the pot with a lid, and simmer on low heat until fully cooked, about 20 minutes.
Step 2
At the same time, boil the peeled potatoes for about 15–20 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the strings from the fresh snap peas, discard the stems, and rinse well. Place them in a pot of boiling water, add salt and sugar, and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 4
On a plate, arrange two pieces of fish and three potatoes, garnish with a slice of lemon and sprigs of dill. Serve with the sauce.
Step 5
To prepare the sauce, mix sour cream with creamy horseradish, adding chopped dill.
