Braised Cabbage with Chicken
Ingredients
- Poultry - 1 piece
- White Cabbage - 1 head
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Spices - to taste
- Passata Tomato Sauce - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour sunflower oil into a Dutch oven or a large heavy-bottomed pot and add the chopped chicken, season with salt (2 pinches) and pepper. Braise for 30 minutes over low heat.
Step 2
Finely shred the cabbage and place it on top of the chicken. Add 1 pinch of salt. Braise for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Grate the carrot on a coarse grater and finely chop the onion. Wait for the cabbage to braise for 10 minutes, then add the carrot and onion. Add 1 pinch of salt and braise over high heat for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Add the tomato paste and spices.
Step 5
Braise over low heat until cooked through.
