Description
You can sprinkle the kissel with grated chocolate or fresh berries. Cinnamon can be replaced or complemented with cloves. Instead of tangerine, lemon or orange will work.
Ingredients
- Citrus Zest Mix - 5.3 oz
- Rye Bread - 17.6 oz
- Raisins - 3.5 oz
- Prunes - 3.5 oz
- Dried cranberries with sugar - 3.5 oz
- Whipped Cream - 8 fl oz
- Starch film - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Crumble the stale bread and cut the tangerine peels with scissors. Lightly toast them in the bottom of a pot, then pour in boiling water — just enough to cover the bread crumbs, and cook until it reaches a porridge-like consistency. If you prefer a thinner consistency, you can add more water. Otherwise, it will turn out something like a bread pudding.
Step 2
Dissolve the starch in half a glass of cold water, then gradually pour it into the bread mixture while stirring. Add honey and cinnamon, then let it cool.
Step 3
Pour the jelly into a blender, add the raisins and prunes, and blend for about ten seconds. Serve with whipped cream, sprinkled with dried berries.
