Description
Broccoli can be cooked in advance, stored in the refrigerator for a day, and then reheated in garlic oil.
Ingredients
- Broccoli - 3 lbs
- Sausages - 700 pieces
- Olive Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Garlic - 5 cloves
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut three medium heads of broccoli lengthwise down the stem in half, then into quarters and eighths. Place the broccoli in boiling salted water (3 tablespoons per 5 liters of water) and cook for about 5 minutes. Drain the boiling water, rinse the broccoli in cold water, and shake off the excess moisture.
Step 2
Grill the pork sausages (preferably sweet Italian) for 5 minutes on a barbecue or grill.
Step 3
While the meat is cooking, pour oil into a heavy skillet and sauté the finely chopped garlic for about 1 minute. Then add the broccoli to the garlic oil and sauté over medium heat for about 4 minutes.
Step 4
Mix the cooked broccoli directly in the skillet with the sausages and serve immediately.
