Ingredients
- Thick Beef Rib - 2 lbs
- Salad Potatoes - 2 lbs
- Garlic - 1 head
- Ketchup - 3.5 oz
- Mustard Greens - 1.8 oz
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Svan Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 3 fl oz
- Rosemary - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the ribs in a bowl, sprinkle with a mixture of salt, pepper, paprika, and rosemary, and mix thoroughly to coat the ribs evenly with the spices. Let them marinate for a while.
Step 2
Wash the potatoes but do not peel them.
Step 3
Cut large potatoes in half.
Step 4
To prepare the sauce, mix ketchup, mustard, and roughly chopped garlic, add Svan salt, almost all of the vegetable oil, and mix well.
Step 5
If the sauce is thick and you need a lot to cover the ribs and potatoes, add broth or boiled water and mix.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 428°F. Grease the bottom of the baking tray with the remaining vegetable oil. Place the potatoes in the tray, leaving gaps between them. Then place the ribs between the potatoes, filling all the gaps.
Step 7
Pour the sauce over everything, trying to distribute it evenly over the surface. If there isn't enough sauce, simply add a bit of broth or water.
Step 8
Cover the baking tray with foil and place it in the oven for about 20 minutes.
Step 9
Remove the edge of the foil and check if the ribs and potatoes are soft; if so, remove the foil and continue baking.
Step 10
When the ribs and potatoes are browned on one side, turn them over to ensure even browning.
Step 11
Remove the finished dish from the oven. Take a large serving platter and place it in the oven to warm up. While the dish is heating, chop the vegetables and herbs.
Step 12
Place the ribs in the center of the platter, with the potatoes and vegetables around the edges, sprinkle with chopped herbs, and serve.
