Description
Buckwheat with Meat in Merchant Style
Ingredients
- Buckwheat Groats - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cups
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Meat - 10.6 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Spices - to taste
- Butter - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into pieces. Pork is suitable for this dish.
Step 2
Fry the meat until golden brown.
Step 3
Dice the onion and add it to the meat.
Step 4
Add a little salt to the meat.
Step 5
The meat should be fried in a pot, as we will also cook the buckwheat in it.
Step 6
After the meat is browned, add the rinsed buckwheat.
Step 7
Pour in water. I write 2 cups, but I usually add water by eye so that the groats are covered with water by about 2 centimeters.
Step 8
Cook everything together until the buckwheat is ready. It usually takes about 20–25 minutes. 10 minutes before the cooking is done, add a little more salt, pepper, and various spices (I add paprika, nutmeg, parsley) and butter.
