Bulgur with lamb
Ingredients
- Bulgur - 8.8 oz
- Water - 1 qt
- Lamb Neck Fillet - 2 lbs
- Turmeric - 1 tablespoon
- Parsley - 0.7 oz
- Fresh Mint - 0.4 oz
- Cilantro - 0.7 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Pour cold water over the bulgur.
Step 3
Add turmeric, place on the heat, and cook covered for about 20 minutes until done.
Step 4
Remove the leaves from the mint sprigs and chop them.
Step 5
Chop the parsley and cilantro as well, removing the thick stems.
Step 6
Rub the lamb with salt, ground black pepper, and vegetable oil.
Step 7
Preheat the skillet well and sear the lamb over high heat for a few minutes on each side.
Step 8
Transfer the cooked lamb to a clean dish, and while the skillet is still hot, add the bulgur.
Step 9
Add the herbs to the bulgur and mix well. Taste, then season with salt and pepper to your liking.
Step 10
Serve the bulgur with lamb immediately.
