Description

Heating is not very beneficial for vegetable oils, as the molecules of the acids contained in the oil change and turn into carcinogenic substances. That’s why the salad is dressed with oil just before serving, rather than during the sautéing of the leeks with the bulgur.
Ingredients
- Bulgur - ½ cup
- Leek - 5.3 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Ocean salt - to taste
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fajitas sauce - ½ cup
- Fresh Mint - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the bulgur, pour cold water over it in a ratio of 1 to 3, after the water boils, cook on low heat, adding finely chopped leek 7 minutes before it is ready, and stir 5 minutes before it is done.
Step 2
When the bulgur is ready, add finely chopped bell pepper and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Chop the mint finely and mix it with the bulgur.
Step 4
Serve with salsa, drizzled with cold-pressed olive oil.
