Description
The simplest recipe that even those who are not used to cooking can handle. Bulgur is combined with sautéed vegetables while still raw and cooked together with them in a skillet, just like rice in risotto.
Ingredients
- Bulgur - 8.8 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Sweet Pepper - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Frozen green bean pods - 3.5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Dice the carrot and onion into small cubes.
Step 2
Sauté the onion and carrot in vegetable oil until soft.
Step 3
Remove the seeds and white parts from the pepper, then dice it into small cubes.
Step 4
Add the bell pepper and green peas to the onions and carrots, stir, and sauté for another 2 minutes.
Step 5
Mince the garlic, add it to the vegetables, and sauté for another 3 minutes.
Step 6
Add the bulgur to the vegetables and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 7
Pour in water — it should be twice the amount of bulgur and vegetables combined. Cover with a lid and cook for 15-20 minutes until the bulgur is tender.
