Description
I always use jars with screw-on lids from various store-bought pickles. It's very convenient.
Ingredients
- White Cabbage - 1 piece
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Turnips - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 head
- Safflower Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Vinegar essence - 3 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and sauté with the chopped onion.
Step 2
Shred the cabbage, add the sautéed carrots and onions, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste. Add salt, pour in the oil, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Pour in the vinegar, bring to a boil, pour into jars, and seal.
Step 4
In winter, you can add it instead of dressing to soups or serve it as a standalone dish.
