Cabbage Lasagna
Ingredients
- White Cabbage - 1 head
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Ground meat - 17.6 oz
- Hard Cheese - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Milk - 1 cup
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the cabbage into leaves and place them in boiling, salted water for 2 minutes. Drain in a colander and chop the remaining cabbage.
Step 2
Peel the onion, garlic, and carrot.
Step 3
Grate the carrot and cheese.
Step 4
Chop the onion and garlic.
Step 5
Sauté the ground meat in butter, add the carrot, onion, and garlic, and cook for 10 minutes. Add the chopped cabbage, salt, and pepper, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 6
For the sauce, sauté the flour in 1 tablespoon of butter, pour in the milk, bring to a boil, and remove from heat.
Step 7
Layer 3 cabbage leaves, 1/5 of the meat mixture, and sauce in a baking dish. Repeat several times. Drizzle with sauce and sprinkle with cheese.
Step 8
Bake for 20 minutes at 392°F.
