Ingredients

  • White Cabbage - 1 head
  • Turnips - 2 pieces
  • Pork Mince - 17.6 oz
  • Edam Cheese - 5.3 oz
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 5 cloves
  • Safflower Oil - 2 teaspoons
  • Wheat Flour - 3 tablespoons
  • Milk - 5 fl oz
  • Semi-soft cream cheese - 1.8 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Separate the cabbage into leaves and boil in salted water for 10 minutes until the cabbage becomes soft. While the cabbage is cooking, sauté the minced meat with the carrots and onions.

Step 2

While the cabbage and meat filling are cooking, it's the perfect time to prepare the sauce!

Step 3

Sauce: Heat cream cheese, milk, and grated cheese over low heat, stirring constantly. As soon as the cheese mixture starts to bubble slightly, add the garlic, stir, and gradually add the flour, mixing slowly until it reaches a uniform consistency.

Step 4

Remove the cabbage from the boiling water and drain in a colander.

Step 5

Grease a baking tray with oil and lay the cabbage leaves to cover the entire surface. Spread with sauce. Then layer the meat filling on top of the sauce.

Step 6

Next, sprinkle with cheese and spread more sauce, then add another layer of cabbage.

Step 7

Place in the oven for 30 minutes at 392°F, and 7 minutes before finishing, sprinkle the lasagna with grated cheese.
