Ingredients
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrot - 1 piece
- White Cabbage - 17.6 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 6 tablespoons
- Herbs - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel and chop the onion.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a skillet and add the onion to sauté.
Step 3
Peel the carrot and grate it.
Step 4
Add the grated carrot to the skillet.
Step 5
Shred the cabbage and add it to the vegetables. Stir and cover with a lid. Simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Add the tomato sauce and stir.
Step 7
Season with salt and add pepper. Stir, cover with a lid, and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 8
Chop the herbs. Add to the skillet, stir, and let the filling cool.
Step 9
Grease a baking sheet with oil and spread half of the dough on it. Place the filling on top.
Step 10
Add a second layer of dough and seal the edges. Brush the pie with egg yolk and make fork holes in the top layer of dough. Let the pie rise for 10 minutes and then place it in an oven preheated to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 35–40 minutes.
Step 11
Slice before serving.
