- Striploin steak - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rum - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 0 oz
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - to taste
- Pink Himalayan Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Let the meat breathe at room temperature for a few minutes.
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a skillet, place the steak on its edge. Sear for 3 minutes.
Step 3
When the fat is browned, transfer the steak to one side.
Step 4
Drizzle the steak with rum and sear for 2–3 minutes.
Step 5
Flip and sear for another 3 minutes over high heat.

Add the pepper mix.
Step 7
Shift the steak to create a 'grid' pattern. Sear for another 2 minutes.
Step 8
Place a piece of butter (about 10 g) on a piece of foil.

Transfer the steak to the foil.

Add the pepper mix.

Top with the remaining butter.
Step 12
Wrap the steak in foil and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Step 13
Place the steak on a plate, add coarse salt, and serve.
