Ingredients
- Carp - 2 lbs
- Onion - 10.6 oz
- Sour Cream - 10.6 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 2 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Chop the onion into small cubes.
Step 3
Fry the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Step 4
Clean the carp from scales and entrails.
Step 5
Cut into thick steaks.
Step 6
Dry well with paper towels to remove slime.
Step 7
Heat a pan with vegetable oil and place the steaks skin-side down, do not lay them across. Fry the steaks until the skin is cooked all over. The meat inside may still be raw.
Step 8
Transfer the steaks to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, season with salt, add the fried onions on top, and then the sour cream.
Step 9
Send to an oven preheated to 311°F for 15–20 minutes.
Step 10
Serve the finished carp steaks with your favorite side dish, such as mashed potatoes. Eat carefully, selecting out the bones.
