Ingredients

  • Rice - 2 cups
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Turnips - 2 lbs
  • Salt - ½ teaspoon
  • Brown Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Breadcrumbs - 0.3 cups
  • Nutmeg - ½ teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cook the rice.

Step 2

Mash or finely chop the carrots.

Step 3

Beat the eggs. Mix them with the rice, carrots, milk, salt, sugar, and nutmeg. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Step 4

You can create a pattern on top with a spoon.

Step 5

Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. Bake at 374°F for 40-45 minutes. The casserole should be covered with a golden-brown crust.
