Cheesy Chicken Balls in Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
- Champignons - 7.1 oz
- Ground meat - 14.1 oz
- Milk - 1 cup
- Aged gouda cheese - 1.8 oz
- Breadcrumbs - ½ cup
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 4.2 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Chopped Green Onions - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Season the ground chicken with salt and pepper to taste, and mix with half of the grated Parmesan. Form small balls, placing a piece of Gouda cheese inside each.
Step 2
Sauté the mushrooms in olive oil, adding salt, pepper to taste, dill, and parsley until fragrant. Pour in the milk, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer the sauce to the desired consistency.
Step 3
Place the meatballs, previously rolled in breadcrumbs, in a preheated skillet with olive oil. Sear on all sides over high heat, then cover and cook until done.
Step 4
Transfer the meatballs to a baking dish, pour over the creamy mushroom sauce, sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan, and bake in the oven for 10–15 minutes.
