Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Marinated cherries - 7.1 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Dry White Wine - 3 fl oz
- Ocean salt - to taste
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande - 7.1 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a deep skillet, heat olive oil over high heat. Add whole tomatoes and fry them until their skins begin to split. Then, add finely chopped onion and crushed garlic cloves, and slightly reduce the heat.
Step 2
Sauté for about five minutes until the onion becomes soft, then sprinkle the vegetables with sugar, pour in the wine, and simmer until it reaches a syrupy consistency.
Step 3
Add mascarpone to the vegetables and gently swirl the pan to allow the cheese to blend into the tomato sauce. Use an immersion blender to mix the contents of the pan, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
