Description
Chicken and vegetable pilaf in a multicooker
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 14.1 oz
- Long-Grain Rice - 10.6 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Sweet Pepper - 1 piece
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Canned Corn - 3.5 oz
- Canned Mushroom Soup - 3.5 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 2 fl oz
- Pilaf Spices - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 20 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice thoroughly.
Step 2
Cut the chicken breast into medium-sized pieces.
Step 3
Chop the onion into medium-sized pieces. Dice the carrot and bell pepper. Cut the garlic into 3–4 pieces.
Step 4
Sauté the chicken in frying mode with vegetable oil, turning occasionally, for 5-7 minutes.
Step 5
Then add the onion and carrot to the chicken and sauté for another 5 minutes.
Step 6
Add bell peppers, garlic, all the spices, and salt to the multicooker bowl, then layer the rice on top and pour in water. The water should cover the pilaf with chicken and vegetables by about 1.5 to 2 cm.
Step 7
Cook the chicken pilaf in the 'Rice' or 'Pilaf' mode for 30 minutes, until the water has evaporated.
Step 8
5 minutes before it's done, add the corn and peas (if the corn and peas are frozen, add them along with the other vegetables).
Step 9
Stir the finished pilaf with chicken and vegetables and let it sit covered for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Step 10
Serve the chicken pilaf hot.
